This week has felt hectic, even though I doubt it actually was. I've been preparing stuff for my brother's birthday, which is difficult because I have a tendency to do it in a ~special~ way, and must outdo myself every year. But I think I've outdone myself this year, but what about next year? What then? It's all very difficult, but I love it really.

Anyway, on Friday, we finally, finally, bought our new car. This process has been in the works for around a month (I was so annoyed that my mum, dad and brother chose a car without me (thank you, revision), because, it's a CAR. A CAR. But, anyway, I like their choice, so it's okay). It was ordered from Belgium, I think, and we picked it up just now. All thanks to the government's scrappage scheme, although it meant that our old car (a Ford Escort from 1994) had to be scrapped ;__; There are pictures of my brother and I as a little kids with that car, so it was sad.

But, anyway, my Dad's new car is a Ford Focus from 2009, and its so pretty, not to mind kind of fierce looking. We've never had a new car before, and I've been looking around car show rooms since I was about 7, so you could say it was overdue. My Dad paid for it outright, with a cheque. I've never seen anybody pay for a car with a cheque, but I'm not complaining. It has so many features, but most of all, it is comfortable and lovely to be inside.

Thus, a picture is mandatory at this stage:

Fierceness, right here )
That's pretty much all I have to say, but we are going to Skegness tomorrow for my brother's birthday. It's annoying, because now I'll never be able to say that I've never been to Skegness. I don't really hear good things about it as a place, tbh.

OH, AND TORCHWOOD. TORCHWOOD. Well, it was explosive, excellent, unexpected and confusing. But I loved it.

But today has been a day of internet catch-up, which is pretty much how my life operates right now, but you know what? I'm good with that.

It's official! This is the 200th post I have posted, and it has taken me just over 2 years to reach; I wonder whether around 100 posts a year is average on LJ? Anyway, this calls for a smal celebration, which will be me posting the photographs from the photo meme I posted the other day (techinally, I would've posted those anyway, so it's not a real celebration, but we shall overlook that).

I adhere to this repeated meme )

So, that took longer than I naively assumed, but a fitting 200th post I think.

Anyone see Torchwood? ;D I loved it and am appropriately intrigued. Lots of revelations, as well as new questions, and it looks like it's going somewhere good. And we get to enjoy it every night!

But my bed beckons now, so I bid you all adieu :)

So apparently I suck at updating even when I'm on summer break and technically have nothing to do. But it seems that there's always something taking up my time, and I end up not knowing where it all goes. Although I do feel a lot more relaxed than I did a month ago, so that's a plus, right?

Also, I have nothing to update with. I'm doing stuff, but it's not of sufficient interest to post, although my '1' (aka '!') key is horribly broken/sticking/half hanging off my laptop, so that's something I have to deal with everyday. It's not even a real problem, but it feels somehow, ridiculously noteworthy.

I have been spending a lot of time lately looking at old photos, mainly late '80s to early '00s, of the family and stuff. It's cute, and, as always a little sad. And I found some old VHS tapes, both home movies, and stuff recorded off the TV, and bought. It was so '90s, I loved it. Although I'm convined I must have been annoying as a little kid, upon reflection, but IT'S STILL GOOD.

And to motivate me to update, I have a meme I did last March that I thought was interesting; so I've dragged it out of the woodwork to repost here.

Ask me to take pictures of any aspect of my life that you're interested in or curious about. It can be anything from my favorite possession to my anything else. Leave your requests as a comment to this entry, I'll snap the pictures and post them in the next post.

Now for an evening of epic and lengthy internet reading.

PEACE OUT :D

RIP Michael Jackson

It's such sad news that shocked me at first, but deeply saddened me as it sank in, so I just have to mention it. My parents loved his music, so as a child it was what I listened to the most, and came to love myself. He was certainly unique, and, as I think the public have shown these past few days, he will be sorely missed.

Anyway, I have a meme that I was supposed to do a few days ago, but I got kind of sidetracked by everything. This is from[info]lovingthecubs. Don't stop 'til you get enough )
And now its time for Top Gear. Bon Voyage.

This has been my revision pile for the past month. After each subject was done I moved its books and folders to the bottom of the pile, and now, finally, every single subject has past. Theoretically, I should know all of that stuff, but I'm sure I have forgotten about 80% of it. Yay, the education system works.

I had my last exam today, which was the same day that brother got his exam results (ironic, in some kind of way). He got a Class II division I, which is under a Class I (the highest grade you can get). So I think it equates to a B, and he is really happy with it, because he completely thought he was going to fail and wouldn't be going back next year.

So, to celebrate in a weird way, I'm going to post a picspam of a botannical gardens I visited on Sunday. Weird, but it makes me happy.

Enjoy! )

Well that's all from me, but thanks to all you for putting up with me this last month. Hopefully I'll be able to regain some normality around here, and make it up to all of you ♥♥
